Community hospitals program
The Victorian Government has committed $675 million to build ten community hospitals close to major growth areas.
These community hospitals will expand our current public hospital network. They will improve the way healthcare is delivered in suburban and regional Victoria, providing more access to in-demand services, closer to home.
This investment will be used to upgrade and expand existing public health services at Craigieburn, Cranbourne, Pakenham, Phillip Island, Sunbury and Torquay and support new developments in the City of Whittlesea, Eltham area, Point Cook and Fishermans Bend.
