The Victorian Government has committed $6 million to progress the planning and redesign of Frankston Hospital, to include new hospital beds, operating theatres, expanded child and maternal health services, a new oncology ward, oncology day clinic and areas dedicated to mental health services.

The Frankston Hospital redevelopment will transform the existing hospital with a new multi-level tower providing expanded service capability and modern inpatient emergency and surgical services, including:
more maternity, paediatric, oncology and general inpatient wards
expanded emergency department
new operating theatres
consolidation of medical and surgical wards
additional mental health services with outdoor secure areas.
