Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Facilities Renewal Fund
The Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Facilities Renewal Fund provides grants for facility and equipment upgrades, improving safety and quality of care for Victorians in need.
Now in its fourth year, the $10 million fund will distribute grants to 39 mental health and alcohol and other drug services across the state. Grants are used to upgrade aging infrastructure, improving service efficiency, quality and safety across public, community and residential services.
Existing state government funded mental health and alcohol and other drug services can apply to the fund for:
minor construction, remodelling and refurbishment works
equipment, furniture or fitting purchases
essential infrastructure upgrades such as plant equipment, systems to reduce power and water usage, and information and communications technology.
The Victorian Government’s Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Facilities Renewal Fund will be distributed to 39 facilities across Victoria in 2019. Grants were awarded to 14 mental health, and 25 alcohol and other drugs facilities.
Investing in existing mental health and alcohol and other drug facilities ensures all Victorians can access the high-quality care and facilities they need, no matter where they live.
Grants are designed to improve facilities so that they meet contemporary standards and deliver the best experience of care for consumers, staff and visitors.
